Recognized Student Organizations

A Recognized Student Organization (RSO) is a student group in support of a common purpose. It must be comprised of five or more student members and at least two-thirds of the membership must be enrolled at Minnesota State University, Mankato. RSOs must have a stated purpose, written constitution, an advisor, and adhere to federal, state, and local laws as well as the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (Minnesota State) Board of Trustees’ policies and regulations. Minnesota State Mankato will not recognize a student organization as such until the registration process on Mav Central has been completed, and the Minnesota State Student Association (MSSA) has voted to recognize it.
