Students can improve their academic performance when they use the services of the Center for Academic Success. Our trained staff of tutors can guide students through the process of writing an effective paper, preparing for an important exam, or completing a challenging assignment
Maverick Peer-Facilitated Academic Support System (MavPASS)
The Maverick Peer-Facilitated Academic Support System (MavPASS) helps students to understand difficult content in challenging courses through study sessions led by fellow students who have already succeeded in the course.
TRIO Student Support Services
Federal TRIO Programs are federal outreach and student services programs in the United States. Student Support Services exists to serve and assist low-income individuals, first-generation college students, and individuals with disabilities.
University Testing Center
The University Testing Center is located within the New Student and Family Programs office and exists to offer course placement exams for both Math and English as well as advise students on additional testing needs. As more local testing options become available, you will find them here.

Maverick Firsts is a group of students, alumni, faculty, and staff working to support and celebrate first-generation college students here at Minnesota State Mankato. Our goal is to help first-generation students find their place in college…and beyond.
