Residence Communities Close at 7 p.m. Friday, December 12

  • Food service closes: 1:30 p.m.
  • Residence Communities close: 7 p.m.

Students will not have access to their hall during break unless they register for Winter Break Housing.

Before closing, staff will check all rooms to ensure safety and security. Any policy violations found during this process will be documented and addressed in January.

Students who stay without registering will be charged the full break rate + an administrative fee and may face disciplinary action.

PARKING & Loading

Parking enforcement ends at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10 in all residence hall lots and yellow guest stalls (Lot 16 Light Green, 15, 14 Stripe, 14A, 1, 2, and 20A Dark Green) to allow winter break loading.

Julia Sears residents may use the yellow curbside on West Road for loading from Dec. 10 at 6 a.m. through Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. Hazard lights must be on, and vehicles must be moved to a permitted lot after loading.

All Gold, meter, vendor, guest, and other reserved stalls remain enforced.

Full enforcement resumes Monday, Jan. 12 at 6 a.m.

TAKE YOUR CAR WITH YOU

If you have a car on campus, it must be taken with you over break — vehicles cannot remain parked in residence hall lots unless you're registered.

  • Cars left for more than 7 days may be ticketed or towed at the owner’s expense.

BATHROOM INSPECTIONS

Suite and apartment residents should clean their bathrooms before Winter Break inspections to avoid cleaning charges.

  • If a bathroom doesn’t meet inspection standards, custodial staff will clean it and all roommates will share the charge.

SPRING OPENING

Residence halls reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026.

  • Students may return any time after that.
