How to Register
Complete the Break Housing Form in the Housing & Dining Portal by Friday, November 20.
- Registration opens on Monday, November 9.
- There is no additional fee for Thanksgiving Break.
Limited Services
- Meals are not provided over break.
- Front Desk hours are limited. Desks are open 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, closed on Thanksgiving Day, and open 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, November 27-28.
- The Stadium Heights Office will follow this schedule.
- There is no mail/package service Wednesday, November 25-Sunday, November 29.
- Lobby doors unlock at 10 a.m. and lock at 6 p.m.
Leaving for Thanksgiving Break
The residence communities close at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, November 25.
BEFORE YOU LEAVE
- Close and lock your window.
- Remove trash from room.
- Return to-go containers.
- Close your blinds.
- Unplug electronics except for refrigerator.
- Turn off all lights.
- Close your room door.
- Take your car home.
- Turn off air conditioner and fan (Standard Rooms)
Daily Service Notifications/Parking
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 23:
- Julia Sears residents may load their vehicle along the approved curb with their hazards on. Vehicle must return to permitted lot after loading.
- Crawford and McElroy residents may load their vehicle in validated Guest stalls (Lot 15 by McElroy and Lot 14a by Crawford). Hazards must be on while loading. Vehicle must return to permitted lot after loading.
- The University Dining Center is open 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. Chet's Place is open 10 a.m. - midnight and 1872 Grill is open 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 24:
- Julia Sears residents may load their vehicle along the approved curb with their hazards on. Vehicle must return to permitted lot after loading.
- Crawford and McElroy residents may load their vehicle in validated Guest stalls (Lot 15 by McElroy and Lot 14a by Crawford). Hazards must be on while loading. Vehicle must return to permitted lot after loading.
- Campus recreation facilities close at 6 p.m. and reopen on Monday, November 30 at 7 a.m.
- The University Dining Center closes at 6 p.m. Chet's Place and 1872 Grill close at 4 p.m.
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 25:
- Front Desks open 8-10 a.m. and 4:30-6:30 p.m.
- At 6 a.m. parking enforcement of Dark Green, Light Green, and stripe lots will stop to allow easier access for loading. The curbside loading and Validation GUEST stalls are allowed on this day. Gold, Flowbird timed stalls (non-guest stalls), and accessibility stalls are enforced this day until 6:30 p.m.
- Thanksgiving room safety checks take place beginning at 9 a.m. During this time, Residential Life staff will enter all rooms to perform safety checks.
- The University Dining Center is closed. Starbucks is open 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. and Union Grill is open 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 26 and FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 27:
- Parking enforcement stops, except for overnight parking. If students are staying on campus, they must park in Lots 1, 2, 20a South Dark Green, 14 Stripe, or 16. All other areas are subject to ticketing.
- The University Dining Center and all retail dining locations are closed.
Returning to Campus
Residence Communities reopen at 12 p.m. (noon) on Sunday, November 29.
- Front Desks open at noon on Sunday, November 29.
- The University Dining Center will open at 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 29. Chet's Place will reopen at 7 p.m.
- Students should return to their permitted parking lot by 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 29 or they will be subject to ticketing.
- Unloading from Thanksgiving Break will be allowed on Sunday, November 29 on the approved curb in front of Julia Sears, Crawford approved curb, and Lot 15 validated GUEST stalls. Hazards must be turned on and 15-minute time limit will be in effect. Vehicles must return to their permitted lot after unloading. All other areas will have normal parking enforcement.
- Parking enforcement resumes to normal operations on Monday, November 30.
