How to Cancel Housing

Housing Contracts are legally binding and in effect for one academic year (or that portion of the academic year remaining at the time occupancy begins).

Future Resident: A student who has not yet moved into campus housing.

Cancellation of your Housing Contract is accepted online.

  • Cancellations sent to other University offices are not valid.
  • Failure to register or withdrawal from the University does not constitute cancellation of the Housing Contract.

Students with a 26-27 reservation who cancel by July 1, 2026 will receive a $200 refund (if a $300 prepayment was made). Students who cancel after July 1 will not receive a refund.

Students with a Spring 26 reservation who cancel by Friday, December 26, 2025 will receive a $200 refund (if a $250 prepayment was made). Students who cancel after December 26 will not receive a refund.

To request an end to housing during the current academic year, complete the contract release request form. Upon review, a decision will be made and communicated to you via MavMail.
