According to the Bylaws - Article IV, Section 4 - A, Subsection D

Maverick Textbook Reserve Subcommittee
Bylaw as amended 11/20/19

The Library and Bookstore Advisory Committee shall have a subcommittee which oversees the Maverick Textbook Reserve Program. The Maverick Textbook Reserve Subcommittee shall be responsible for promoting the Maverick Textbook Reserve Program through intensive information campaigns with faculty leadership, individual faculty members, and the student body at large. The program, which is a partnership with Student Government, Library Services, and the Maverick Shop Bookstore. Before books are purchased by the subcommittee, Student Government and all stakeholders must be consulted and informed of all actions.

The Subcommittee's membership consists of:

  1. One (1) Student Chair who is elected by and from among the 3 student members of the Subcommittee.
  2. Three (3) Students appointed by the Student Government President.
  3. Manager of the on-campus University Bookstore contract vendor (Maverick Shop:).
  4. One (1) Library staff member from the Library and Bookstore Advisory Committee.
  5. One (1) of the IFO representatives serving on the Library and Bookstore Advisory Committee.

The Maverick Textbook Reserve Subcommittee shall meet at least twice a semester. The chair shall lead the meetings, call the meetings to order, and will actively work with the Manager of the Bookstore and all stakeholders to manage the Maverick Textbook Reserve Program.
