Student Government represents Minnesota State University, Mankato students at the Institutional, Local, State and Federal governing levels through listening to and voicing the thoughts, ideas, and concerns of all students.

Want to get more involved? Apply to be apart of Student Government Committees, boards, and commissions. There are over 30 different ones to choose from. The Student Government President makes all official appointments with the Student Government confirming them.

Vacancy elections are held to fill openings in the Student Government when an incumbent resigns from their position. Vacancy elections occur at weekly Student Government meetings. To see if there is a current vacancy check out the Mav Central Application.
