Student Accommodated Testing Agreement

Accessibility Resources works with faculty and students to provide an accessible testing environment for students with disabilities. Accessibility Resources understands the academic rigor and safety measures that University instructors undertake in preparing and administering their exams.

Accessibility Resources provides a secure, accessible testing environment for students with approved accommodations. Before tests start, the course instructor submits a form outlining what is or isn't allowed during the test. Please review and follow these guidelines when using the testing center.

Before Your Exam

  • All test materials (calculators, formula sheets, etc.) will be checked to ensure they meet your instructor’s directions.

  • Accessibility Resources provides laptops for online tests or assistive technology use.
    • You may use your own device only if your accommodation plan or instructor allows it.

During Your Exam

  • Checking In: show the staff member your photo ID (MavCard, driver's license, passport, etc.) and await further instructions.
  • Personal items: Phones, smartwatches, backpacks, hats, audio devices, and similar items are not allowed in the testing room. Store them outside the testing space in one of the provided cubbies.

  • Food and drink: Not permitted unless listed in your accommodation plan.
    • Exception: Water in a clear bottle (provided in the front office).
  • Restroom breaks: Discouraged. Try to go before your test. If necessary, you will be escorted, and your test time will not pause.
  • Academic integrity: Unauthorized resources or inappropriate behavior will end your test. Incidents are documented and reported to your instructor, including video evidence.
  • Exceptions: Approved accommodations (e.g., glucose monitoring, walk breaks, food/drink) override these rules.

Arriving on Time

  • If you are late, instructor approval may be required to start.
  • More than 30 minutes late = marked as a no-show.
  • If something comes up, call 507-389-2825 or email examaccess@mnsu.edu.
