Honors Learning Community
The Honors Program supports a learning community for incoming honors students.
Honors Launch
Students establish an academic and social connection with each other in the Honors Launch Learning Community. Students take the following courses together as part of the learning community:
Fall Semester:
HONR 201: Introduction to Honors - This course provides an orientation to the mission and core competencies of the Honors Program. Students will analyze and categorize the competency themes, identify appropriate learning goals, and develop an e-portfolio for their use in the Honors Program.
HONR 230: Honors Colloquium - This course provides the opportunity to explore and engage in experiences, conversations, and reflections surrounding a particular issue or theme chosen by students.
Spring Semester:
HONR 230: Honors Colloquium - This course provides the opportunity to explore and engage in experiences, conversations, and reflections surrounding a particular issue or theme chosen by students.
In addition to coursework, students have a variety of opportunities to participate in program activities outside of the classroom.
