HIGHLIGHTS for parents
- Students living in Residential Life Housing are required to have a meal plan (per the Housing Contract).
- Students choose their own meal plan in the Housing & Dining Portal by August 15. If a meal plan is not selected by this deadline, Residential Life will assign a meal plan to the student. Students living at Stadium Heights will be assigned to the Maverick 250 Dining Dollars plan and students living on main campus will be assigned to the Maverick Anytime.
- Students may change their meal plan during the first two weeks of each semester (the meal plan change form will go live on our website on August 16).
- The Maverick 250 Dining Dollars may only be selected up to the fall meal plan change deadline (September 3). After this date, only students moving to or living at Stadium Heights may select this plan. This means if you want to be on this meal plan, you should select it by August 15 or change to it during the fall meal plan change timeline.
Dining Services posts the menu for the University Dining Center on it's website. This menu link is also shared with students in the Residential Life Weekly Newsletter.
Students may request a reuseable to-go container when they scan their MavCARD at the dining center. Students must put down a $5 deposit on the container (most students use their Dining Dollars for this). When the container is returned, a $5 credit is issued back to the student's Dining Dollar balance. Click the link below for more information on the to-go program.
Each meal plan comes with a set amount of Dining Dollars. Dining Dollars are loaded on the student's MavCARD and can be used at any retail dining location or convenience store on campus. Think of Dining Dollars as a declining debit card balance.
If the student runs out of Dining Dollars, more can be purchased online in $25 increments. Students may also check their balance online. See links below.
Meal Plan Changes
Students may change their meal plan during the first two weeks of each semester. The fall meal plan change form will go live on our website August 16 and close at 4 p.m. on September 3.
The spring meal plan change form will go live on our website December 13 and close at 4 p.m. on January 21. Students cannot change to the Maverick 250 Dining Dollars plan for spring semester unless they are living at Stadium Heights.
