Develop Competencies Through Reflection

Honors students engage in experiential learning opportunities and reflection to develop competencies of leadership, research, scholarly and creative activity, and intercultural engagement. Students demonstrate these competencies through electronic portfolios in which they document their experiences and reflect on their learning. The Honors Program challenges students to move outside of their comfort zones and to think critically about the world and their personal contributions to the communities in which they live.

Student Experience

"The people I have met from the Honors Program definitely made my entire college experience one million times better! If it weren't for the support system that I got from being in the Honors Program, college would have been a lot different." – Rebecca Guss, Communication Sciences & Disorders, '21
