Welcome to Minnesota State Mankato's Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) page. Our office provides services to high school students participating in traditional PSEO and concurrent enrollment courses. Traditional PSEO allows students to register for courses taught by university faculty, either online or on campus. Concurrent enrollment requires an agreement between the university and a high school. Concurrent enrollment courses are taught at the high school by qualified high school instructors.
It's natural for family members to have questions about the PSEO process. Find out how you can support your student as they transition to higher education.

Concurrent enrollment is a partnership between Minnesota high schools and Minnesota State Mankato. The partnership allows students to earn university credits without leaving their high school.
Concurrent enrollment allows students to earn free university credits while being taught by teachers they are familiar with and in a comfortable environment.
High school instructors are assigned a faculty partner in the discipline to help develop course alignment and provide training in course philosophy, curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment.
Having a student participate in the PSEO program is a great way for them to better understand the rigors of postsecondary courses and earn tuition-free credits towards their future degree. As a parent, or guardian, you serve a vital role in student success.
