Resources on Campus for Nontraditional Students

The Student Activities office manages a variety of resources for nontraditional students at our home campus in Mankato.

The Nontraditional Student Resource space

Nontraditional Student Resources is a space located in the lower level of the Centennial Student Union across from the Maverick Bullpen and bowling alley. It is a place for nontraditional students to socialize, study, and do homework. The space is furnished with computers, whiteboards, a refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, tables, and comfortable seating.

Weekly Newsletter

The beginning of each academic year, the University supplies Student Activities a list of enrolled undergraduate students who are 24 years of age or over, which we use to send out our weekly newsletter. Things shared in the newsletter include- on and off campus family friendly events, important reminders/notifications, and resources that may be helpful.

If you are not receiving this weekly newsletter, but would like to receive it, please email nontraditionalstudents@mnsu.edu and let us know.

Financial Assistance – Emergency Grant

Minnesota State University, Mankato, through a partnership with Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation, offers a new Emergency Grant Program to current students.

Do not let an unexpected car repair or a medical bill mean the end of your college career. These small grants may help you stay in school and on track for degree completion. For more information visit http://www.mnsu.edu/emergencygrant/.
