Nancy Zwickey Memorial Garden Tour 1- Mankato “Community” Gardens

Saturday, June 20, 2026, 9am - 12pm

Volunteers from Mankato Area Lifelong Learners, the Blue Earth County Master Gardeners and the Twilight Garden Club invite you to tour four Mankato “Community “Gardens from 9am to noon (except 10am to noon at Glenwood Garden) on June 20th. Tour at your own pace and in your chosen order. Visiting the gardens will not require a lot of driving.

Volunteers will be present to show you the gardens and answer questions. This event is free and open to the public. Bring a friend. A free will offering for ECHO will be accepted.

 

  • Enjoy the beauty of the Hubbard House Gardens (606 S. Broad St.) the city's hidden gem, carefully cared for by the Twilight Garden Club volunteers.
  • Close by, you will find well established Prairie Gardens at the Children's Museum of Southern Minnesota (224 Lamm St.) with several grasses, coneflowers, coreopsis, and prairie clover displaying their June glory.
  • A short distance away at BECHS (History Center, 424 Warren St.) you will be able to view a newly established, well-designed, native garden along with a traditional ornamental garden.
  • And, at 10am the Master Gardeners will welcome you to tour and ask questions at their Demonstration Garden, the Glenwood Gardens (315 Locust St.).
