The Engagement Center is a student-led outreach and fundraising program where Engagement Ambassadors connect with alumni, parents, employees, and friends of Minnesota State University, Mankato. Ambassadors help keep the Maverick community connected through phone calls, handwritten notes, emails, events, and donor thank-you messages, while supporting a strong culture of philanthropy across campus.
As an Engagement Ambassador, you may thank donors with personalized videos and notes, help with surveys for colleges and programs, and represent the student voice in outreach projects. This job offers opportunities for promotion, leadership experience, and professional skill development, and is a great way to meet people across campus and build real-world communication skills.
Starting wage is $14.10/hour, with opportunities for performance bonuses and pay increases.
Shifts are held Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m., with a minimum commitment of three nights per week. Student employees have a consistent schedule each semester that works around class commitments.
Fridays and Saturdays off.
Requirements and qualifications:
- Must be a full-time student (undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least 12 credits; graduate students must be enrolled in at least 6 credits)
- Interested in making a positive impact on campus
- Strong English writing and conversational communication skills
- Detail-oriented and dependable
- Basic computer, typing and spelling skills
- Enjoy being part of a team that works hard and has fun
- Availability to work a minimum of 3 nights a week
