Dr. Paolo Infante is the Director of the Center for English Language Programs. Paolo serves as an Associate Professor of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Language (TESOL) in the Department of English where he offers courses related to assessment, ESL instructional approaches, and the teaching of grammar and vocabulary.

A native of Toronto, Canada, Paolo is a veteran of the TESOL field and has taught and conducted research in Intensive English Programs across the United States. His M.A. (Applied Linguistics, University of Massachusetts, Boston) and Ph.D. (Second Language Education, Pennsylvania State University) programs have focused on supporting and investigating second language development within different educational contexts. His work has appeared in several edited collections as well as journals, such as TESOL Quarterly, The International Journal of Bilingual Education and Bilingualism, Language and Sociocultural Theory, and Linguistics and Education.
