The MSU English Department would like to invite you to the first Minnesota River Valley Writing Project event!
Join teachers from across Minnesota to write, connect, and be inspired. Hear from youth, listen to speaker, Dr. Nicole Mirra, and reflect and connect with other educators.

Guest Speaker: Nicole Mirra, Ph.D.
Nicole Mirra, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Education and Faculty Director of the Teacher Education Program at the University of California, Los Angeles. She uses participatory design methods in classroom, community, and digital spaces to collaboratively create learning environments with teachers and youth that disrupt structures of injustice and creatively compose liberatory social futures. She previously taught secondary literacy and debate in Brooklyn, New York and Los Angeles, California, and is a proud member of the National Writing Project network.
