hallway purple and yellow containers (LJP) or other recycling, newspaper bins. Note: no plastic wrap or bags, styrofoam, pyrex or dishes - call LJP about recycling those items @ 507.625.1968.
Plastic wrap or bags
plastic newspaper bags, dry cleaning bags, bread bags, cereal box liners, ice bags, Ziploc and other reclosable bags, case overwrap, produce bags and bubble wrap.

Department computer harddrives and computers
Any that have data storage capability, you must contact IT Services' Help Desk (389-6654) or use the Self-Service Request. IT Services will "scrub clean" such computer storage devices of all data. Computer related surplus items which have fixed asset tags are identified by IT Services and the information forwarded to University Stores so the item can be deleted from state inventory records.
Small Electronics
such as cords, keyboards, mice, monitors etc. should be picked up for recycling and/or disposal by Minnesota State Mankato Delivery & Surplus Services or can be placed in the large cardboard electronics recycling container just inside the Trafton North loading docks
Larger items
such as appliances (microwaves, refrigerators etc.) should be picked up for recycling and/or disposal by Minnesota State Mankato Delivery & Surplus Services
Rechargeable or specialty batteries (NiCAD, Li-ion)
contact Environmental Safety and Health Office my submitting a work request at Minnesota State Mankato Facilities Work Order Dry cell batteries (A, AA AAA etc.) can be disposed of in regular trash containers.
Light bulbs (fluorescent, LED, metal halide etc.)
contact Environmental Safety and Health Office my submitting a work request at Minnesota State Mankato Facilities Work Order Standard incandescent bulbs can be disposed of in regular trash containers.

Any state-owned property, including commodities, equipment, materials, supplies, books, printed matter, buildings, and other property that is obsolete, unused, not needed for a public purpose, or ineffective for current use.
