What I like about being a Maverick: We have a community of amazing students and staff members. Watching the passion they bring and the growth that comes from it keeps me excited about being here.

Professional Development/Involvement/Interests: Student leadership and campus connection are two passion areas of mine. During my career in higher education, I have had the opportunity to teach a leadership course at Georgia Southern University and First Year Seminar (FYEX) at Minnesota State University, Mankato. In addition to this, I have advised National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) student delegations attending a variety of leadership conferences.

I currently serve on the ACUHO-I Student Affairs Educator Certification Committee for Campus Housing and Residential Life Specialty, meeting with Residential Life professionals across the country to support and advise the design, development, maintenance, and analysis of Campus Housing and Residential Life certification content and make recommendations for content changes.

A few conferences that have really impacted my work in Residential Life include Lead365, a conference focused on helping empower students through leadership, and Across the Lifespan, a conference for educators from K-12 through higher education that is focused on supporting students with disabilities throughout their education and careers.

Hobbies: My favorite moments outside of work are spent hanging out with my kids, reading, or baking. I also enjoy hiking, completing home renovations, and painting.
