Undergraduate Study: Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at Illinois Wesleyan University, graduating with Cum Laude distinction.
Responsibilities: Madeline's primary responsibilities as Graduate Advisor for Fraternity & Sorority Life and Dance Marathon include Mavathon, the annual dance marathon fundraiser, and the Panhellenic Council.
Past Experience: A member of both the Alpha Gamma Delta social sorority and the Sigma Alpha Iota music fraternity. During her junior and senior years, Madeline organized and performed two recitals. She also had the opportunity to conduct independent research and present her findings on the Benefits of Physical Exercise for the Singing Athlete for Illinois Wesleyan’s School of Music. Over the past year Madeline has received six different python programming certifications, and the Data Analytics certification through the Google Coursera platform.
What Drew Her to Minnesota State Mankato: Madeline was drawn to MSU after hearing about the DREAM student organization while volunteering at the Midwest Architecture Community Collaboration 2024 Conference. She will combine her creative background and technical skills this fall to further her education. She is a proud new member of the Data Science Master’s program and excited to serve as the Graduate Advisor for Fraternity and Sorority Life and Dance Marathon.
GETTING TO KNOW MADDIE
In my free time, I like to: stay active with weight-training, Pilates, yoga and running. She also loves animals, especially her one-year-old black cat Azula.
