The Maverick Salute: Veterans Career Fair

For the first time, Minnesota State University, Mankato, is partnering with various organizations to connect veteran-owned and veteran-friendly employers with student veterans, military-affiliated students, and community members with internships and job opportunities! The primary audience for this event is student veterans, students from military families, and community members who are veterans or military-affiliated; however, all students and community members are invited to attend.

100% of the money collected will be donated in support of the following organizations:

• VFW: The VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) was congressionally chartered in 1899. It advocates for veterans' rights, provides VA claim assistance, and fosters camaraderie for those who served in overseas conflicts. The VFW boasts over 1.4 million members and nearly 6,000 locations nationally.
• A-Board Nonprofit: The A-Board exists to advance student success in higher education by creating and supporting student-led chapters across colleges and universities that connect students to resources, institutional partnerships, leadership development, and community.

Employers - Registration is required via Handshake or by emailing Katie Jolicoeur. Fees range from $400-600 depending on sponsorship level. Your schedule and parking information will be emailed to you at least 2 days in advance of the fair.

Attendees - No pre-registration or attendance fees are required. MSU students can view employer information in Handshake. Everyone is welcome to attend this FREE event! You do not need to be an MSU student to participate.

Veterans - come to connect not only with employers looking to hire veterans, but also learn more about your benefits during our ongoing education sessions running throughout the day of the fair.

Attendee Schedule:

• Arrive at MSU Centennial Student Union Ballroom in professional attire and sign in for a name badge in the ballroom lobby on the second floor.
• Come anytime between 11am and 3pm.
