The Homecoming Committee will select a court of 10 individuals to represent the student body. From these ten, two Royalty will be chosen regardless of gender or sexual orientation.

Application due: Sunday, September 20 at 9:00 p.m.

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must have completed a minimum of  12  credits at MSU.
Candidates must have at least a  2.50  cumulative GPA and be in good standing with the University.
To verify the candidate’s GPA with the Registrar’s office, all candidates must sign the grade release form attached to the Homecoming packet and turn it in with the royalty application.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours at MSU.
All candidates must fully complete the Royalty Application and turn it in by Sunday, September 20, 2026 by 9:00 p.m on Mavlife.
All Royalty Court members are required to attend a Homecoming Royalty meeting - Friday September 25th via Zoom.
All Royalty Court members are required to attend the Homecoming Kickoff, Student Competitions and Lip-Sync.

RUBRIC

Homecoming Royalty will be chosen based on the following:

30% Attendance at homecoming events
30% Candidate Interview
40% Percentage of Student Vote

COURT SELECTION

Homecoming court will be chosen based on the following:

Demonstrated leadership on campus
Demonstrated involvement in campus activities
Academic excellence
Ability to represent MSU with a positive image
