Minnesota State Mankato to Announce Future State Campaign at
Sept. 24 Public Launch Celebration
Event is free and open to the public
Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato will announce plans for its Future State capital campaign at a public launch celebration Wednesday, Sept. 24 from 7-8 p.m. in the Taylor Center on campus. The event is free and open to the public, and all are invited to attend.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and free parking is available in all University lots. Student-athletes will be available to sign autographs as part of the celebration.

The public campaign launch will outline a shared vision for a center that welcomes visitors and residents alike to state-of-the art facilities that will host athletic events, farmers markets, concerts and conventions, in addition to creating space for learning, fitness, retail and student living.
The project will create a hub for recreation, wellness, athletics and community engagement on the south side of the MSU campus that is publicly available to greater Mankato and southern Minnesota. It is intended to bring together students and the community in a space designed for connection and growth.
Community Impact Tours
Before the launch celebration, the public is invited to take short tours of high-impact spaces on or near campus:
3 p.m. Maverick Family Nursing Simulation Center
Meet outside Clinical Sciences Building (20-minute tour)
3:30 p.m. Rural Behavioral Health Clinic, located at Minnesota State University, Mankato, made possible by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota
1600 Warren Street, Suite 6 (20-minute tour)
4 p.m. Maverick Innovation Gateway, 230 Stadium Road (15-minute tour)
4:30 p.m. Taylor Center and Blakeslee Stadium

Minnesota State Mankato, a comprehensive university with 15,251 students, is part of the Minnesota State system, which includes 26 colleges and seven universities.
