Rules

General Procedures
All teams must have 2 players.

Boards are placed 27 feet from front edge to front edge.

START OF GAME:

-          A coin toss will precede each match, with the winner having the choice of picking which side of the board from which they would like to play.  The winner also decides who will throw first.

TOSSING BAGS:

-         Players must deliver the bag with an underhand release.

-         Feet must stay behind the line of the front of the board at the time of releasing the bag.

-         Teams will alternate tossing bags during the half inning until all bags are tossed.

SCORING:

-         Games are played to 21 points.

-         CANCELLATION SCORING will be used.

-         The points of one player cancel out the points of their opponent.

-         This means that only one player / team can score in each frame

-         Bags that land (and remain) on the board are worth one (1) point.

-         Bags that pass through the hole are worth three (3) points.

-         A bag that comes to rest touching the ground AND the board DOES NOT count as a point.

-         The team who scored in the preceding frame tosses first in the next frame.

-         If neither team scores, the team who tossed first in the preceding frame shall retain first toss in the next frame.

-         If you exceed 21 points at the end of the half inning, you “bust” and will be set back to 11.

-         The team that is set back to 11 will be the first to toss.

-         Best two out of three games, all played to 21.
