Tuesday, July 14, 2026

Ecumen Pathstone Latitude and Landing, 115 Rogers St, Mankato, MN 56001
Many important health changes occur inside the body long before they are visible externally. This educational presentation explores how muscle mass, bone density, body fat distribution, and metabolism influence long-term health, mobility, and independence as we age. Participants will learn why body weight alone does not always provide a complete picture of health and how body composition can offer additional insight into physical function and metabolic wellbeing. The session includes an overview of how muscle supports strength and balance, why bone density is important for maintaining independence, and how metabolism influences energy needs over time. The goal of this presentation is to provide a clear, science-based understanding of key health markers that influence healthy aging. Attendees will leave with practical knowledge to better understand how lifestyle habits influence muscle, bone, and metabolic health throughout the lifespan.
