Transgender 101: Fact or Fiction

Dr. Alexander Kovic, a leading expert on transgender issues, will give a presentation on the facts of transgender identification and will debunk current misinformation on transgender individuals.

Presenter: 

Dr. Alexander Kovic- Dr. Kovic works as an integrative psychologist who tailors therapy to the individual rather than fitting into his therapy techniques.  He works with adults and gender-diverse teenagers. He splits his practice between general mental health and specialties in sex therapy and gender-affirming care.  Dr. Kovic is considered one of the leading experts on and gender identity and sexual therapy in the state. He practices out of the Urology Department at Health Partners in St. Paul.
Dr. Kovic received a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Hamline University, before receiving an M.A. in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University in 2011, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology degree in 2017 from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology. He completed an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at Napa State Hospital and a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School – Program in Human Sexuality.
