We will be talking about what sex trafficking and case management looks like in South Central Minnesota, online current trends, vulnerabilities and what we can do to help protect our youth.
Presenter:
Sandi Miller is from North Mankato and has three children and seven grandchildren. She graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2015 with a degree in Social Work. Sandi started working at the Mankato Youth Resource Center as a case manager in the Transitional Living Housing program in 2018. In 2021, she sought a new role and was hired on as a Lead Case Manager for the Safe Harbor program. In this role, Sandi provides case management for youth under age 25 who have experienced sex trafficking across a 10-county region. She is also certified as a facilitator for Not a Number, a trafficking and exploitation prevention curriculum for ages 12 to 18. Sandi is currently being trained as a facilitator for Ending The Game, which focuses on reducing recidivism for those that have been trafficked over the age of 18.
