Origins and Dynamics of the Russia – Ukraine War (and what it teaches us about modern military conflicts), will be held at the Maverick Innovation Gateway, on Tuesday, June 2 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

Parking: Free parking is available. There are 25 spots on the east side of the building; once those are full, please park in Purple Lot 21 across the street.

Andre A. Kamenshikov, an internationally experienced peacebuilding and humanitarian specialist whose work has spanned more than three decades in regions affected by conflict, including Ukraine, the North Caucasus, and other parts of the former Soviet Union. He has worked with organizations such as Nonviolence International and the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict, focusing on conflict resolution, civil society development, and humanitarian response.

Drawing on his firsthand experience, Andre will discuss why some conflicts are resolved while others persist, what actually helps prevent escalation, and the human, psychological, and institutional forces that can either block reconciliation or make lasting peace possible.
