KMSU Broadcast Schedule Changes
New timeslots, new hosts, and new shows begin in 2026

With Minnesota Morning host Karen Wright retiring, KMSU will be making some schedule changes in the coming year. Weekday mornings will be a little different, with the Shuffle Function Morning Show adding an hour to run from 6:00 - 10:00 a.m. KMSU General Manager Dwayne Megaw will be taking over Minnesota Morning, which will run from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m., and will continue KMSU's focus on local and state news, information, and music. These changes will begin on Friday, December 26th.
With Dwayne moving to Minnesota Morning, we're welcoming a new show to the TBD timeslot at 1:00 p.m. on Mondays. Variety Hour host Shane Frederick will be moving his monthly show Via Mankato to this slot beginning January 12th, 2026. An unabashed Wilco fan, Shane celebrates a wide spectrum of rock and pop during his show, blending different genres, styles and eras into his playlists.
Remember, you can listen to any of KMSU's locally produced programming at 89.7fm/91.3fm/KMSU HD1/kmsu.org, or with the KMSU app for Apple & Android devices.
