Karen Wright, KMSU's Minnesota Morning Host and Operations Director, is Retiring! Come celebrate with us on Wednesday, December 17, from 2:00- 4:00 p.m. in the Alumni Foundation Center (1536 Warren Street, Mankato) in room #217.

Karen has had a media/communications career for 40 years — half of those years were at KMSU radio as Operations Director and host of Minnesota Morning.

During that time, she has conducted thousands of interviews for Community Stories, Birding with Al Batt, Gardening with Barb, Cooking with Joe, Minnesota State Mankato stories, To Your Heath, and Every Day is Earth Day, among others.  She will tell you her favorite interview of all time was with her idol, Olivia Newton-John, in 2019!

Karen will miss the many people she has had the honor to interact with over the years. She won't be leaving Mankato. You will likely find her gardening, or volunteering for many of the non-profit organizations she is involved with.

You may hear her on KMSU as she continues to produce the award-wining "Every Day is Earth Day" segments on Thursdays, at 10:30 a.m.

Congratulations, Karen!
