Thank You for an Amazing Year!

We can't say it enough: together we make great radio!

A message saying thank you for your support radio heroes, backed with photos of Gary Campbell, Mo Alsadig, Steve Guse, Dwayne Megaw, Joe Tougas, David Perron, Shyboy Tim Lind, Jen Tiernan, Eric Larson, and Karen Wright

As 2025 draws to a close, we'd like to take a moment to say how grateful we are for all of your support. Your generosity and kindness made our pledge drives overwhelming successes, but beyond that you've made everything about the KMSU experience so wonderful. From the texts and calls we receive with requests and comments, the cards and letters we get at the station, and the conversations we have with you around the community, your kindness has touched us all and made what we do such an incredible experience. Thank you for making KMSU a part of your day. It can't be said enough: together we make great radio!

The end of this year brings a big schedule change with Karen Wright retiring after 20 years of doing Minnesota Morning. Her interviews with folks from the community, the weekly appearances by Al Batt and Master Gardener Barb Lamson, and her eclectic playlists have made her a welcome friend on the Mankato airwaves, and we'll be sad to see her go. Still, it's hard to feel too bad when we know that she'll have so much more time to devote to her gardening! Congratulations, Karen!

Karen's retirement will bring changes to weekday mornings on KMSU. The Shuffle Function Morning Show will be expanding to four hours starting December 26. Shyboy Tim Lind and Shelley Pierce are very excited to have an extra hour to "play radio" and to start the day off with Radio Heroes around the globe. KMSU General Manager Dwayne Megaw will be following Shuffle Function with Minnesota Morning, and he'll continue bringing you interviews and news that highlight our wonderful community, as well as the regular features that you've come to expect during the show. Of course, there will be a bit of "twang by Dwayne", plus a healthy dose of music from the land of 10,000 lakes!

We'll have a few more updates to share with you in the weeks to come, but for now let's just ride this year out and hope for a 2026 filled with health, happiness, and lots of good things. Thanks again for being amazing!
