I’m originally from the suburbs of the Twin Cities and am the third of four kids in my family. I came to Mankato to attend the University and have never left. I started my career working in the baseball industry between Mankato and Sioux Falls. My wife and I both have our undergraduate and graduate degrees from Minnesota State Mankato, but didn’t meet until a few years after our time on campus.
My goal at work each day is to help Minnesota State Mankato Athletics become the best possible resource for our Student Athletes, along with the campus and Mankato community.
In my free time, I enjoy playing golf and being outside. I also enjoy volunteering with organizations that focus on opportunities for children and individuals with disabilities.
The best piece of advice I've ever been given is ‘everything in life worth getting is outside your comfort zone’.
As a development officer, I have learned there are a lot of moving pieces in the work we do. So I just remember ‘success is peace of mind’.
The most inspiring part of my job is seeing the donor understand the impact they’re having.
My favorite inspirational quote is ‘Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to become the best of which you are capable’ – John Wooden
