Jennifer Spaude '97

BIO

I grew up in rural southern Minnesota as the youngest of seven, where I learned the value of hard work and the importance of giving back from an early age. Volunteering sparked my passion for community involvement, a value that continues to guide me today.

After graduating from Minnesota State University, Mankato, my husband Ryan and I chose to make North Mankato our home, where we’ve raised our two children, Spencer and Alaina.

Professionally, I’ve spent 25+ in telecommunications, leading corporate communications, investor relations, marketing and public relations for public and private service providers. In 2025, I founded Spaude Consulting, a strategic communications firm that helps organizations and leaders communicate with confidence and clarity during times of change, growth and business transformation. My career has been driven by a deep belief in the power of connection, connecting people, ideas, and strategy to achieve meaningful results.

My life motto remains simple: You’re never too old to learn, and never too young to lead.
