Bio

I was born and raised in southwest Minnesota and graduated from Windom Area High School. I made the choice to attend, and stay at, Minnesota State University, Mankato due to the generosity of donors and the scholarship support I was able to receive throughout my tenure at Minnesota State University. It is due to this generosity that I feel called to serve on the Foundation and support the needs of future generations of students. I graduated with a BS degree in nursing from Minnesota State University, Mankato and subsequently completed a masters in nursing leadership and management from Metropolitan State University. I am currently pursuing a PhD degree in management and public service from Hamline University. Professionally, I serve as SVP, Chief Ecosystem and Operations Officer at Ecumen where I passionately advocate for older adults and lead Ecumen’s integrated clinical, operations, sales, marketing, business development and strategy efforts to provide innovative homes and services for older adults. I volunteer with the Minnesota Medical Reserve Cops, and I serve on several boards including the MN Affiliate of the American Nurses Association, the Faith Community Nurse Network of the Twin Cities, and several collegiate advisory boards. I previously served on the Minnesota State Board of Trustees. My wife, Gabrielle, and I currently reside in Eagan, MN and we enjoy time spent outdoors and with family and friends.
