Chris Daniel is an instructional designer with over 20 years of experience in higher education, including roles in LMS administration, faculty development, graduate education, and information technology. He holds an Ed.D. in Instruction and Administration with an emphasis in Instructional Systems Design from the University of Kentucky, as well as a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Eastern Kentucky University.
Chris most recently served in Eastern Kentucky University’s Instructional Design Center, where he supported online course development, LMS strategy, faculty training, course quality initiatives, and the university’s LMS transition. He also co-founded EKU’s graduate program in Instructional Design and Learning Technology and has taught graduate courses in instructional design, game design for learning, and online course development.
His professional interests include instructional efficiency, simulations, alignment, online course design, accessibility, and quality assurance in online learning. Chris is especially interested in helping faculty make thoughtful design decisions that respect their expertise, time, and teaching goals while improving the student learning experience.
