Welcome… I’m your LCC, Mackenzie Malone!

I am so excited to meet you the fall. I will be a resource for you as you navigate through your first year of college here at Minnesota State University, Mankato!  Being involved with the Exploring Health Careers learning community will help you academically as well as socially, so utilize me and your peers as much as you can!

Major: Family Consumer Science - Dietetics 

How/what made you decide this major? I chose this major because I am passionate about nutrition and the relationship it has with our physical and mental health.

Year in School: 4th year

Hometown: La Crescent, MN

Favorite Food: Way too many to choose from but my current fixation is frozen mango and thin mints.

Advice for LC Students: Make yourself your first priority, it’ll be way harder to juggle everything in your life when your main focuses are others, work, organizations, etc.

Smartest thing you ever did/best decision you ever made: Focusing on myself/my growth.

Favorite thing about MSU: The environment of campus.

Campus/LC Involvement: Vice President of the Student Dietetic and Nutrition Organization, student ambassadors, and exploring health careers learning community.

Favorite thing to do in Mankato: Hike and go to the coffee shops downtown.

Favorite things to do outside of school/coursework: Weight lift, hike, and read.
