Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato and seven other regional colleges and universities are hosting the 2025 Career and Internship Expo, on Tuesday, Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in MSU’s Myers Field House and Bresnan Arena Concourse.

More than 190 employers are registered to attend and between those employers, more than 1,300 jobs and internships are available. More than 1,500 students and alumni are expected to attend the event.

The event is free for students and alumni of the participating institutions. (NOTE TO EDITORS: This event is not open to the public, but the media is welcome to cover the event. Please make arrangements by contacting Katie Jolicoeur, MSU’s director of career services, by phone at 507-389-6061 or by email at katie.jolicoeur@mnsu.edu.)

Jolicoeur said the Career and Internship Expo is an event for employers and Mankato-area college students and alumni to network and explore opportunities for full-time careers, part-time gigs, internships and professional pathways.

“This event will put the Mankato community and MSU on the map as a place where employers can find collaboration on a scale that is intended to meet their workforce needs,” said Jolicoeur. “This is Minnesota’s largest one-day career event and creates a rare opportunity for employers to engage in one spot with students and alumni from eight institutions.”

Jolicoeur said it is the first time MSU has partnered on this scale to provide engagement between employers, students and alumni.

Institutions participating at this year’s event include Minnesota State Mankato, South Central College, Gustavus Adolphus College, Bethany Lutheran College, Riverland Community College, Rasmussen University, Western Governors University and Minnesota North College.

Jolicoeur said the partnership between regional colleges and universities aligns with Pillar One of the Transforming Tomorrow Together initiative, creating a talent hub to retain talent in the region. Employers will have opportunities to connect not only with students and alumni, but with faculty and staff, allowing the chance to make contacts that allow for engaging with campuses throughout the year.

The Career and Internship Expo is the premier fall event held by Minnesota State Mankato’s Career Development Center. The primary objective of the Career Development Center is to provide services and resources to assist students and graduates with career planning and the search for employment.

Minnesota State Mankato, a comprehensive university with 15,251 students, is part of the Minnesota State system, which includes 26 colleges and seven universities.
