Minnesota State Mankato Partners with Girl Scouts River Valleys to Establish Girl Scouts Leadership Institute at MSU
Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato is partnering with the Girl Scouts River Valleys to establish a leadership institute at Minnesota State Mankato that will be open to more than 17,000 Girl Scouts from southern Minnesota and the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area.
Leaders from MSU and the Girl Scouts River Valleys will officially launch the partnership by signing a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday, Dec. 9 from 10:45-11:45 a.m. at the Maverick Innovation Gateway Center (230 Stadium Road, Mankato).

The high points of the MOU are:
- A partnership with MSU to host the Girl Scouts River Valleys Leadership Institute on campus.
- Opportunities for MSU leaders to speak directly to Girl Scouts River Valleys members.
- An agreement for Girl Scouts River Valleys to bring visibility to MSU across its 17,000 members.
- An agreement for MSU to waive application fees for Girl Scouts River Valleys members who apply to the University.
The Girl Scouts River Valleys Leadership Institute will afford Girl Scouts opportunities to learn from leading executives from Minnesota State Mankato and the Greater Mankato region. Girl Scouts will also be able to learn about the resources and educational opportunities at the University.
