March 25: Minnesota State Mankato's Health Summit Topic is ‘Rooted in Wellness – Advancing Rural Youth Health’

Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato will hold its annual Health Summit from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, with this year’s topic being “Rooted in Wellness – Advancing Rural Youth Health.”

The Health Summit is open to the public. Registration is required. Register online here. Cost is $30 for the public. This training is approved for four CEUs by the Minnesota boards of Social Work; Marriage and Family Therapy; Behavioral Health and Therapy; and Psychology.

There is no cost for MSU students, faculty and staff to attend the Health Summit.

The March 25 event, held in Centennial Student Union, begins with registration and check in at 8 a.m. The Health Summit schedule includes a morning keynote address at 9:10 a.m. on “Rural Youth Organizing for Social Change,” followed by a Q&A session. The afternoon keynote address is at 2:45 p.m. on “Loving Someone with a Mental Illness,” followed by a Q&A session.

The Health Summit also includes a case study simulation, poster presentations, sponsor visits and networking opportunities. Details, a full schedule and registration information can be found on the Health Summit webpage.
