MayTong Chang from Transforming Generations will be sharing her experience working with women of color, specifically Asian women, and how the experience of domestic violence, the process of getting help and healing is different for women of color.

In many Asian cultures, there is the idea of honor and "saving face, and how talking badly about one's significant other (even if it calling them out for abuse) is considered shameful and frowned upon. Such beliefs often hinder reports on domestic violence within the Asian community.
