Decolonizing Wellness: Workshop & Meditation

Wednesday, September 22, 2021
3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
CSU 245 (Workshop) & CSU West Lawn/Fish Pond (Meditation)

Sabrina (they/Mestiza) will share the honest, societal barriers of their wellness journey, navigating racial/physical trauma and chronic illness. The intention for this space is to have an honest discussion on why it can be hard to explore wellness depending on identity, what options are out there at every level, and leave with a better understanding of what next step you need to take to honor your own journey. Come dressed comfortably knowing that you can leave at any time with no judgement. There will be 30 minutes of very gentle movement/meditation towards the end (feel free to leave at that time if needed). Modifications for every level will be given based on the group in attendance.

Workshop and Meditation hosted by Sabrina Mercedes (they/she) from Safe Relations. Safe Relations is a MN state registered LLC that weaves community mutual aid, art, and connection to support the greater Mahkato/Mankato community.
