Responsibilities: Youssef serves as a Graduate Advisor in Student Activities, supporting student organizations, campus programming, leadership development, and student engagement initiatives. He works closely with student leaders to help them build connections outside the classroom.
Past Experience: During his undergraduate studies, Youssef worked as an Orientation Program Assistant and later as an Orientation Coordinator, helping welcome thousands of new students and families to campus. He also conducted research in physics using the Van de Graaff particle accelerator, studying the effects of ionizing radiation on biological systems. His research has resulted in multiple presentations at academic conferences.
What Drew Him to Minnesota State Mankato: The chance to operate a high voltage system as an undergraduate isn't an experience you can just find anywhere. As both a student and campus leader, Youssef found a strong sense of community through his involvement in learning communities, student orientation, and research. He is excited to continue supporting student development while beginning his Master of Science in Physics program.
