Dan Vierck

Dan is a pathologically against-the-tide fella. He was radicalized against commercial radio via his tenure working in retail when the available technology peaked at having pop radio stations piped through the intercom. A bitter lil' 'name-three-songs' hipster-gremlin? Oh he for sure can be. That said, his taste in music is pretty vanilla: Nirvana, Hank Williams, Nina Simone, Vic Chesnutt, Del Shannon, Nanci Griffith, etc.. With The BODOG Hour, Dan hopes to present music that shares the appeal of better-known music, but for any number of reasons has remained, um, let's say, "under-heralded."

 

Dan was raised in Wisconsin, but lives in North Mankato now with his wife and two sons and their dog. A perfect day would include a big breakfast with the fam, good coffee, a Cuban sandwich (yes onions, no mayo), a leisurely visit to Tune Town, a good tall beer, and nerding out with his friends at BYOV.
