BIO

I was born and raised in Mankato and have been blessed to experience firsthand what a truly special region we live in. My husband, Neil, and I have been married for 43 years. We have three sons (two of whom are graduates of Minnesota State University) as well as six grandchildren. I have served as Greater Mankato Area United Way’s CEO since 2014. Before entering the nonprofit industry, I was employed by Carlson Craft/Taylor Corp. in North Mankato for 36 years, including as President of Carlson Craft. I am passionate about improving people’s lives and providing the leadership needed to ensure United Way carries out its mission to build a better tomorrow for all. I enjoy working to connect with businesses, institutions and community members in new, dynamic ways. I believe in the power of mentoring individuals of all ages to help them reach their full potential.
