Sarah Asp Olson, Assistant Director, Communications '26

Sarah joined the Alumni Relations team as Assistant Director for Communications in 2025. She brings more than 20 years of experience as a content strategist, writer and marketing director across multiple industries, including higher education. 

In her role, Sarah leads communications and alumni engagement efforts, connecting Mav Alum to the University and to one another. She is passionate about telling alumni stories and creating meaningful experiences that build pride, strengthen relationships and foster an enduring connection to MSU.

Sarah holds a Master of Science in Communication Studies from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a Bachelor of Arts in Writing and Rhetoric from Northwestern College
