The Diversity & Inclusion Academy presents four highly-interactive sessions led by industry professionals centered around diversity education and its relation to social and economic success. Develop an understanding of your own unconscious biases as well as learn best practices to make organizations and programs more welcoming and inclusive.

September 9 - Session 1

Implicit Bias: Unconscious attitudes and notions that impact our interactions and exchanges with the "other." Bring to the surface effects of implicit bias on how we see, treat and relate to one another.

October 14 - Session 2

Diversity 101: Introductory foundational knowledge, ideas, terms and definitions of diversity and inclusion.

November 11 - Session 3

Cultural Competence: Walk through the mindset and skill set of being culturally competent, the most important item needed in a diverse society.

December 9 - Session 4

Inclusive Initiatives: Develop an understanding of the process to make organizations and programs more welcoming and inclusive as well as best practices for embedding organizational/ programmatic inclusiveness.

Participants receive a certificate after successful completion of the academy.
