MANKATO, Minn. –The Jazz Mavericks Big Band and the Jazz Combo of Minnesota State University, Mankato will perform in concert Monday, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. at the Elias J. Halling Recital Hall of the Earley Center for Performing Arts, 320 Maywood Ave.

The Jazz Mavericks Big Band celebrates the coming holiday season with well-known seasonal favorites, offering a variety of traditional holiday favorites with a jazz twist. Experience Latin, swing and funk grooves, with the ensemble delivering a fresh interpretation of classic repertoire. A musical highlight of the program will be the group’s interpretation of “The 12 Grooves of Christmas” by Daniel Moore, with each day representing a different musical style.

The Jazz Combo performs a set featuring repertoire that spans decades of music from jazz to roots, funk, blues, rock, indie and beyond.

Concert admission is $10 for general admission and $7 for K-12 students. University students are admitted free with a valid MavCARD. Advance purchase is strongly encouraged. Those who wish to purchase tickets online should go to hss.mnsu.edu/music-events.
