MANKATO, Minn. – The Debbie Anthony Band will perform with The Luke LeBlanc Band as part of the Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Music Performance Series on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. at Morson-Ario VFW (1900 N. Riverfront Drive) in Mankato.
Rochester, Minnesota-based singer/recording artist Debbie Anthony blends her love for an array of country, Americana, gospel and pop innovators into a style that is uniquely hers. Anthony’s path led her to Nashville where she recorded her sophomore album, “More To Be Said,” with Grammy Award-winning studio producer Gena Johnson. Anthony skillfully engages her audience by weaving her life stories through soulful and tuneful songs and adds a variety of country favorites throughout the evening.
Luke LeBlanc is a Minneapolis-based singer/songwriter who delivers dynamic and versatile original performances that feature a warm, organic merging of rootsy folk and pop. As noted by 89.3 The Current, LeBlanc’s music is “delicate, understated, and careful in its construction, showing how to live in such an unstable world while giving solace and a place for rest.”
Concert admission is $12 for general admission advance purchase and $15 general admission day-of-show. Advance purchase is strongly encouraged. Those who wish to purchase tickets online should go to hss.mnsu.edu/music-events.
