Feb. 22: Minnesota State Mankato's Wind Ensemble in Concert

MANKATO, Minn. –The Minnesota State University, Mankato Wind Ensemble will perform their program, “Light Ascending,” on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 3 p.m. at the Elias J. Halling Recital Hall of the Earley Center for Performing Arts, 320 Maywood Ave. The ensemble is conducted by Amy Roisum Foley, director of bands.

Program pieces include “Canzon Primi Toni for Two Brass Choirs,” Gabrieli; “Cathedrals,” Kathryn Salfelder; “Light Descending,” Kevin Poelking; “Play!” by Minnesota composer Carl Holmquist; and “Angels in the Architecture,” Frank Ticheli.

Concert admission is $10 for general admission and $7 for K-12 students. University students are admitted free with a valid MavCARD. Advance purchase is strongly encouraged. Those who wish to purchase tickets online should go to hss.mnsu.edu/music-events.
