MANKATO, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato will present its annual holiday choral concert Sunday, Dec. 7 at 3 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 632 S. Broad St., Mankato.

Come celebrate the holiday season and hear another memorable concert by Minnesota State Mankato's chamber singers and concert choir, directed by Elisabeth Cherland. Ben Marti will serve as accompanist for the performance.

Cherland says, “Our holiday concert gives us a chance to reflect on the mystery, introspection and joy of the season.”

For this year’s concert, Cherland has chosen contemporary settings of old favorites as well as repertoire featuring Renaissance polyphony. Composers featured on the program include Ola Gjeilo, Hans Leo Hassler, Michael John Trotta and Evan Ramos, among others.

Concert admission is $10 for general admission and $7 for K-12 students. University students are admitted free with a valid MavCARD. Advance purchase is strongly encouraged. Those who wish to purchase tickets online should go to hss.mnsu.edu/music-events.
